Matching Assistance Program

Do you want to be “found” for a waiting child?

Matching Assistance is a password protected site with additional child listings, helping support qualified, current home studied families during their journey to adoption. Many families have a difficult time finding children to submit on as well as being considered and notified by the caseworkers. We pride ourselves on having a very current and reliable web listing of children waiting for their adoptive family.

The children

Children of all ages may be adopted, however, most waiting children are over the age of 5 and may fall under one or more of the following categories:

  • be part of a sibling group needing to be placed together

  • be part of a racial, ethnic, or cultural minority

  • have physical, mental, developmental or emotional disabilities
Groupkids

Every day children’s case workers search for suitable homes for hundreds of foster kids nationwide. In this search, they are looking at parenting qualifications such as:

  • Parent Training and Education
  • Ability to accommodate special needs
  • Family background and situation

Having your profile, narrative, home study, and possibly a video ready for a searching case worker greatly increases the chance that you will be selected as a potential family for a waiting child.

You don't need extraordinary equipment to provide these to us. Pertinent, honest, and entertaining family photos can be taken with an ordinary digital camera and uploaded via the internet to the Family Website. The profile consists of information about how to reach you, your situation, and your parenting experiences. And your home study is kept confidential.

After you have signed up for matching assistance and been approved you will receive:

Access to private listed children You get access to a “Private listing” of kids, 3 times as many kids that are on the public site.  Many kids can’t be seen on the public site but can be on a private listing site. We update and add new children from different states 3-4 times a week.

  1. You will be contacted by a Family Adoption Specialist that is assigned to your family who will work with you through the adoption process.
  2. Your family adoption specialist will review family documents and make sure all documents are current and acceptable for most states.
  3. They are supportive, empathetic and proactive during your adoption journey.
  4. This person will be there to answer any questions that your family may have and to give them ideas and examples of what might improve your odds.
  5. This person will explain the process to you and give you access to great resources and articles such as life book examples and helpful trainings.
  6. Your point person at our agency will keep you updated and answer all of your questions.
  7. Your Family Adoption Specialist will work with your adoption worker to submit your home study on children.

  • Edit the Biography in the Style You Have Chosen

(This is where you add all the information you want to include in your family story.  Do not include personal information like addresses, or phone numbers)

  • Upload the Family Thumbnail Photo (this is the picture a caseworker will see first)
  • Upload Family Video (optional)
  • View Family Biography (This is where you can see what your page looks like when published to the website)
